Ask Our Doctors a Question...

Q: How do I know if I have Dry Eye?
A: Dry eye can cause quite a few symptoms, anything from the eyes actually feeling dry to the eyes watering often, or having a burning, itchy, or irritated feeling. One of the most common symptoms is the eyes feeling gritty or like something is in your eye. Most people will often experience blurred vision since the tears, which comprise the outermost surface of the eye, are unstable.

Q: Are there some every day activities that can cause Dry Eye?
A: Yes. Generally those that suffer with allergies, or have systemic inflammatory diseases like arthritis and sjogrens’, or those who use the computer or digital devices often and even contact lens wearers tend to be more susceptible to dry eye symptoms.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending that routine eye care services be postponed until the COVID-19 crisis is under control. Based on this recommendation and in an abundance of caution, we at North Country Eye Care have decided to close our office to routine eye care as of 6 p.m. on Friday, March 20. We will remain available for urgent eye care services as needed. Our doctors will be on-call to provide such services. If you need our medical eye care services or have an urgent concern, please call or text our office at (603) 678-4759. As of now, we plan to have one of our team answering phone calls during the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We can also be reached via email at info@northcountryeyecare.com. We will get back to you as quickly as possible.

We hope to be able to resume hours in late April, but this is subject to change. We will contact our patients when we are able to resume office hours. Thank you for your understanding at this challenging time.

We appreciate all of our patients and customers. We wish you all the best. Thank you for your trust in us. We hope to be back soon!
