Instruments like the Zeiss Clarus 500 can provide wide field imaging of your retina. These instruments allow the doctor to see a wide view of the back of your eye with very high resolution that makes it easier for us to diagnose vision conditions and documents them for future comparisons. This diagnostic tool may not be covered by your insurance unless you already have a documented vision issue. You can still have this imaging done as part of your exam for a small fee. It is recommended by our optometrist to have it done at least every other year unless you have a vision condition that would require us to do it annually.
