What can I do if my contacts become uncomfortable?

Contact lenses can often become uncomfortable as we age due to dryness.  If your eyes become itchy, red, irritated and uncomfortable to wear for any length of time.  You may suffer from MGD ( meibomian gland disorder) or commonly referred to as Dry eye.  Some basic over the counter treatments for this condition can include using warm compress masks, taking omega 3's and/or using lid scrubs.  Wearing some of the newer daily wear contact lenses can also provide increase comfort level.   New dailies, such as total one from Alcon and Myday from Coopervision can allow for longer more comfortable wearing of contact lenses.
